Camping is a summer tradition. For adults camping is a great way to escape the stress of everyday life. Children can benefit from camping in the same way. Camping is also an opportunity to appreciate nature and develop a respect for it.
Whether hiking thru the woods, splashing in a stream or simply observing animals at peace camping is a chance to not only connect with nature but to get to know yourself and those around you a little more. Sitting around a campfire and talking, without the distraction of a television or computer, is a wonderful chance for parents and children to bond.
There are two main types of camping; basic camping and modern camping with many variations that fall between. Basic camping would be a simple sleeping bag, tent and back pack while the other extreme would be camping with a recreational vehicle, also known as an RV. RVs have plumbing and electricity which will appeal to some. Whatever you choose camping is fun and a great way to spend some quality family time.
